Getting through the holidays is tough when trying to watch our weight. We can easily put on a few pounds in just one day and it's very discouraging to watch all our hard work go down the drain just for a moment of weakness. Was it really worth overindulging? Some of may say, "Absolutely" and others may regret it the moment the food reaches their tummy. We can absolutely enjoy our Thanksgiving meal without feeling guilty about it. I personally plan to eat a little bit of everything today. I can't pass up mama's home cooking!!! However, I will work out today and tomorrow and not allow myself to fall off track completely. Eat a healthy breakfast. Don't starve yourself waiting on the turkey. Go for a walk after, play some football, basically, stay active. Hydrate, drinking plenty of water! Above all, give thanks, enjoy your day and get back to business tomorrow!!!
I fell asleep way past my bedtime last night and didn't get enough sleep and sure felt it this morning during my workout. I didn't feel as energized or strong. As Tony Horton says, "Sleeping is Healing". Rest is physically necessary so that the muscles can repair, rebuild and strengthen. Work hard, rest hard! Have a great
This is my first blog entry ever. I never knew exactly what to write in a blog but I decided that I would share my day-by-day fitness journey in hopes that I could help someone else out there that is struggling to either get on track or stay on track. This will also help me stay accountable for my own health & fitness. I have definitely come a long way in my journey as I have lost 25 lbs so far. I'm currently trying to maintain and continue to build strength. P90X was my first love, then came Insanity and Asylum and now Asylum 2. I just can't get enough of Shaun T. or really I can't get enough of the awesome results. I love the way I look and feel everyday and it has really boosted my confidence and self-esteem, not only in the way that I look and feel, but in the fact that all success in my health and fitness level I achieved by myself. No one else did it for me! It took the desire for me to want to change the circumstances in my life and make a difference. The best part of it all is engaging all those that I know and love to join me in my journey. I love watching the awesome results and transformations of those that choose to Take the Challenge with me, especially my mom. I hope that you'll join me as I share my fitness experience with you. My goal is to help and share as much information as possible to ensure YOUR success and know that there is someone out there that cares about YOU and YOUR health! More to come... Have an awesome day!
